EXTRAORDINARY "DISCOUNT" AT BORDERS
Last Tuesday was a public holiday in Selangor. I went to Borders, the Curve for browsing some books before I went for lunch, karaoke and dinner there with my colleagues. One of my colleagues would be leaving soon and we thought of organising a farewell party for him.
As a HSBC credit card holder, I was entitled for 15% discount for RM100 spent in a single receipt. I had chosen a books on Pilates and a fiction book, and the total was RM 115. When the cashier scanned the barcode, the total amount was correct. And the moment she pressed the discount button, to my shock, the payable amount was only RM22.10!
She thought it was an error, so she had done repeatedly for 3 times. Still the cashier counter showed RM22.10! And she charged me for that.
For 2 books with cover value of RM 115, I was only paying RM 22.10. Don't you think it's an extraordinary discount? Not a bad deal anyway. :D
